I was thinking of Paul Newman's passing when I thought to write this. |
Sit down and listen if you can These are the morals of a healthy man I will answer one by one So please be quick before I am gone Is there a difference between Right and Wrong? Within this question we share a feeble bond Right and Wrong may be no different except the consequences of what's known to come Grab some paper and a pen These are the morals of a healthy man I will answer to eternal love So please be quick before I am gone If a fair lady stands, shall I greet her? Love and Lust are two unbalanced feelings Eternal love cannot be achieved without healing Happiness is achieved owing to sharing And all in all love will be an illustrious feeling Lets all gather and howl a chant These are the morals of a healthy man I have lived a wondrous century Ask me a question about my oblong history How have you lived to be so old; When your eyes and skin do not gather mold? How is it you have survived many wars; Yet your resilient hands can still open doors? My body has taken share of harmful toll Yet here I stand like nothing has happened at all The wars I've fought were not of appetite nor disdain We'd lay in battle with brothers to cry out the pain I have never been possessed of hate I am most thankful of this trait Hate is a gateway to destructive ideology It has given way to ruinous bombs and the practice of lobotomy All evil known has evolved from hate Greed, murder, robbery, and rape Had hate lingered in my mind in my gracious life I'd certainly not be here to tell you otherwise So share the love and do write in ink That the morals of a healthy man Are easier to garner than you think |
