WHERE EVIL DWELLS No moon shines down on the earth at night and as we walk in darkness there are smells of things long dead; decaying odors seep into our bodies and minds, where evil dwells. Heartsick as we turn to run from the horror, an outstretched hand or branch piercing skin, all hope for escape soon becomes lost to us as we stop and turn to face our very own sin. Make no mistake, we hide it well in daylight and conjure up thoughts of conquering fate. Yet we are human, lost in delusion, somehow we try to find forgiveness before it's too late. Darkness lies in wait for us who travel on roads strewn with dreams better left alone. Fight the good fight, do not try to linger. Evil stalks each and every unhappy home. Read the papers, watch the news and see how much evil this world has to endure. Price of passion, little children; innocents reap the wrath of the dark night's impure. No moon shines down on the earth at night and as we walk in darkness there are smells of things long dead; decaying odors seep into our bodies and minds, where evil dwells. Countrymom 10/6/08 |
