A poem about girls |
The Good Girls. You wanna know, What happened to all the “Good” girls? You all have the nerve, To wonder where we’ve gone. Your minds bend over Backwards, searching Throughout the land, praying Hoping that there is just one Of us left. You really wanna know Where we, the good Girls have gone? We’ve disappeared and Faded behind the masks Of makeup and clouds Of perfume, we drowned In a sea of pressure, smoke And sex. We’ve left all that’s “Lovely” and “wholesome” And “sweet”. We’ve left the losing side And have gone to the survivors Side. The bad girls’ side, The man hatin’, Bottle tippin’, Cigar smokin’ side. You wanna know what Happens to all of us? The good girls? We give your out hearts, You trample them, Destroy them. We give you, Our bodies, You defile, abuse them. We give you our spirits, You tame, and break them. We give you our innocence You murder, and bury it, And it is forever, gone. You really wanna know, Where all the good girls Have gone? Why none of Us can be found? Look in the mirror, and You will see why, we good girls, Give you the run-around. Y’see, we “good girls” Grew up and have learned That the good die young, the Med die old and the good girls Finish last. We learned to live and Survive on our own. |
