  On  Hold


                      I've been praying to you Lord...pleading to you.
                       I've called you everyday for weeks now.
                         Seems like I'm missing you....
                       I'm getting a recorded message...but I can't seem to connect with you.          
                         And oh how I want to hear your voice.

                         Instead I'm on hold....waiting for you to pick up.
                         I know how busy you are.
                         I'm just one of billions trying to speak to you.
                         I understand....
                         Your word has taught me  that I must be still...          
                      That answers will come in your time and not necessarily in mine.

                         But oh my dear Lord can you tell me...
                         Hasn't my bill been paid in full by now?
                         Haven't I felt enough pain?
                         Haven't I reached the end of this lesson?

                         I'm not sure how many minutes I have left Lord...
                         And my battery is a bit weak.
                         Will you please pick up this time.
                         Seems like I've been holding on forever...
         
                         What? Is that you Lord? Is it really you?
