Fire

In the darkness warmth consumed us,
From beneath my skin a fire
Made my red blood rush hot.


Your closeness put me in a state
Awakening blazing want from
The anxious depths of me.


Tender urgency in your touch,
Your lips on my tingling stomach.
Our hearts began to beat
In time to a sensual rhythm,
A song of drunken ecstasy
And both our minds gone blank.


My heart swelled as you gently traced
The intimate dip of my waist
And I began to burn.
With your hot breath on the curve of
My neck, and with whispers in my
Ear, you freed my trapped heart.


I felt the hunger in your kiss
As my fingertips ran slowly
Down your smooth, arching back
And as I felt the thunder roll
Throughout my stormy soul,
My body melted into yours
And the fire turned gold.
