Someone who leaves their home, in love, but realizes it is too late.
The many times I've tried to leave
The many times I've cried
But something holds me back
No matter how hard I've tried

I wonder what
Or who it seems
Who keeps me here
Who haunts my dreams

But those dreams fail to scare me
They keep me rather content
I awaken and I ponder
I wonder what they meant

I walk with hesitation
I want to understand
But the hourglass runs
The last grain of sand

When I at last know
It is much, much too late
I finally realize it was you
For you were my fate

You stole my heart
Without me knowing
But then I saw you
Your eyes were glowing

You were who haunted me
You were who kept me here
You were who I loved
You were my dear

The plane leaves the port
With a sigh and a tear
I have a new future
To that it is clear
