A poem about spring.

Faeries dressed gaily
In purples, pinks and blues.
They flutter about the fields,
Planting seeds and coaxing blooms.
The fox and it’s young emerge from their burrow,
With glee the young wrestle.
Fawns prance across the field
Under the watchful eyes of their parents.
From the trees the birds sing,
Greeting the rising of the sun,
The blossoming of Spring.

Streams run full and strong,
Making their way leisurely to the sea.
A bear and her cub fish,
Laughing each time they miss.
Humans till the land,
Planting seeds to harvest in the fall.
Children run and play,
Never straying far from their elders.

The snow capped mountains watch with envy,
The joys of Spring’s return.
Come out to greet the sun,
Say ‘hello’ to the fresh blooms.
Give thanks for another year,
Another chance to live.
Sing and dance
And overall make merry.
