poem i wrote about my mom
The silence surrounds me,
all I can hear in my head is your voice,
Everything is normal,
Yet nothing is,
I hide my tears,
Nobody knows everything I feel,
I am many things to many people,
yet no longer a daughter,
I am not whole and no words bring me comfort,
Looking at pictures of you only breaks my heart,
It's funny how I swore I would never be like you,
and now all I want is to be next to you.
