They can hear the screaming
over at the next block.

The neighbors look like
they're watching a movie
...only this isn't one.

I try to write about
happy things,
such as love and friendship
and family that cares about you
and adventure and success
and happily ever after...

Who am I kidding?

I don't even believe myself.
