Slipping Away

“This is only temporary it won’t last long”
I told myself these words
As I worried so strong
I knew it wasn’t real
But pushed it away
So I wouldn’t feel anymore pain
I just wanted it to be real
Wanted to feel what it was like
This love and affection
felt so true
But you didn’t think so to
I feel deeper and deeper
in my own emotions
They crushed me tightly
as I tried to get free

that this was never real
