Were brought up to be strong people. To acknowledge the dangers in the world, but not to let them interfere with our daily routines. Were told to take on every obstacle and work through it with a force that could break down buildings. We learn from mistakes and take on new opportunities, and then suddenly one day something hits us. That wall that used to crumble just stands there, unbreakable. We try to force through it but something jolts through our body and stops us. Fear. So where is it, I wonder, that we pick up this burden? Possibly through the experiences of where we have encountered failure, or somewhere in between times of being on top of the world, and inches away from hitting rock bottom. Whichever way, the situation comes down to this. Your standing still. Mind racing, heart pounding. There's a gap between the two cliffs of life. Your standing on one side, looking behind you see your past, looking forward you see the future, changes. Looking down you see a huge drop if you don't make it. So do you go for it anyways, or does fear stop you?
