I haven't know you very long
yet feel I knew you years ago
you helped me right a wrong
taught me how to take the blow

You made me even stronger then
with the things you said and did
and now you are doing it again
took my box, opened up the lid

Now the pain is pouring out
I'm heading around the bend
gone is sorrow, gone is doubt
my soul has begun to mend

You've given life new meaning
which alone i could not do
I felt that I was slowly dying
and might have if not for you

If the pain again does start
and death begins to win
