Open to interpretation: A statue of a Native American with his hands tied
This image of the statue that stood in front of a store in South Dakota for the longest time. It wasn't until recently that it was removed. It was actually open to interpretation. Native American's who saw it had mixed feelings on it, because many felt it could be interpreted as an insult because some feel it signifies that they are a 'conquered' people. They are not!
Others feel it shows what the white government still tries to do and has done to them in the past. What do you think?
