This poem is about true love. |
One fine morning At the train station, A teenaged boy, a pretty girl, Waited with expectation, The girl noticed the boy, Who was quiet and coy, Trying to stand up over his shoes, Wearing a tattered shirt, That was rather loose, As they exchanged a glance, He went in hypnotic trance, She was pretty as rose, As he looked her up close, A beautiful smile adorned her face, A picture of consummate grace, He tried to say somethin’, Alas, all was lost in the din, In a world so contrived, The train had arrived, Never did he again try, As years had passed by, As destiny has it, They met up again, Strangely, on the same train, Her hair had turned gray, She still held him in sway, With lips quivering and legs shaking, Mumbled he with his breath breaking, “I had wished to tell you for a long time, You were the one for me, O beauty sublime”, Puzzled was she for a while, Whispered then with a smile, Thanks for coming finally straight, It has been a long wait. |
