I stand reaching out to father sky
Forming the circle
Homage to the four directions
Shining eyes watching
Contemplating, judging, approving
Sooted wings flashing Sun's bright morning light
Singing the morning song, giving thanks
The conference begins

Dancing, braying, cawing
Stretching, plumping, pluming
Pacing, thrashing beaks, final arguments
A call to order
A show of blackened wings
Agendas reckoned,  meeting adjourned
The day begins
