I wonder

I wonder as I wander through
  this thing called life
I wonder about this world,
  people, worry, and strife

I wonder where I am going
  but mostly where I've been
I wonder what has happened to me
  and choices I've made about men

I wonder of my daughter Victoria
  and Jeremy, my son
I wonder about who I am
  and who will miss me when I'm gone

I wonder if I have done good
  or has it all been bad
I wonder is it because my mom
  or maybe the dad I never had

I wonder about mistakes I've made
  and ones not made yet
I wonder about memories I've lost
  and those I don't want to forget

I wonder who my true friends are
  and if they even care
I wonder then of friends not true
  because good ones are rare

I wonder why I deal with this
  why should I even bother
I wonder why I stick around
  and remember - I am a mother
