this poem is dedicated to mars
Behold!
the angel of Mars
he is cloud and iron clad
in rusted red metal

he stands in fire and resolute upon the never ending battle field
slaying with fearsome wonder.
the dust arising from chaos
covering in an orange filth
as blood is spilt in large pools
feeding the rage of Aries

his blade glows with keen intelligence
reflecting the pain of bloodshed
and regret of warfare

it cries out upon the battlements clashing
in opposing steel countenance
singing the war cries of violent menocide

eyes blazing with heightened aggression and passion
as he slips his hungry dagger deep within his enemies heart
casting another soul into purgatory.

he is riotous justice, and the artist of death
painting upon a canvas of dirt and gore
capturing chaos in a dramatic movement
toward the entropic universe

feathers tipped with crimson lies
each one a glistening spear thrusted up
piercing the heavens
framing his enemies last second in a beautiful
vision of his splendor.

fear increasing.
footsteps drawing ever closer as your heartbeats faster
pumping in tune to the rising rhythm of the war drum
the trumpet is sounded with the climax!

and he is there above you in hot anticipation of victory
taking his silver gilded spear in hand rising it above his head
his expression is angry filled with the thirst for bloodshed
the ground shakes in fear of his footsteps heavy with fatigue
and as the battle draws to a close
he strikes with violent precision
piercing you’re fluttering heart

you are dazzled by his perfect strike
taken in poetic prose swiftfully inspired
marveling at his beauty as you die
in love with his graceful pale figure
molded for artful extermination.

silence overwhelms the stage
as one figure remains victorious
lit by glory and stained in legend
he is all that stands before you’re fading sight
enshrined in the settling dust
behold his awesome form!
