Used to break a lover down

Pillow cases weeping
Running from a liar

Mind and body creeping
Love commands desire

Discovering ammunition
Tempers flaring loud and fast
Bludgeon into false submission
Callous threats, a wicked past

Living in anticipation
Of deceitful words unwound
Leaping up in agitation
Intertwined inside the sound

It’s another minor indiscretion
Used to break a lover down

Used to toss a heart around

Lusting for a liar
Pillow cases creeping

Running from desire
Mind and body weeping

Severing the mind’s connection
Moving forward faster, how?
Always searching for perfection
Lost inside another now

Desperate dreams of what could be
Crushed beneath an angry hollow
Pushing further out to sea
