from a mistake to a regret !!

When you regret for a thing you have done ….

It’s really a sorrowful state
When you know you made a mistake
And there is no going back

At that crossing of life
When you woefully strive
Trying to get things right
Putting your mistakes out of sight

You may cry you may be silent
But what you have done is done
You cannot go back
You have to move on with a lack

When you remember that moment
You turn back just to find
An empty place
A friend you could not bind

But life has to go on
It's sad you will live on
With a burden that’s hard to bear
And a heartache that’s painful to death

Oh if only you could go back
You would never have done that mistake
Your friend would have been by your side
Your poem would have been love’s tide..
