White Nigger

My ethnicity includes Italian, Native American, and Spanish as well as German-Irish.Summers my team practiced outdoors. Chestnut was the complexion I wore by the sun's artistry and in consequence,was chased through my own neighborhood trailed by hooligans' taunts of "nigger..." ringing in my ears. This was not the first racial skirmish of my young life. Racism became a living, sometimes brutal theme that coursed through the decades of my life shaping the coastals both slowly and precipitously.
