WHEN TWO HEARTS ACHE FOR EACH OTHER


When two hearts ache for each other
Unknowing, silent, suspicious
Of each other’s thoughts, they remain
Ignorant, unmindful, clueless.

With no way to communicate,
What grows is only resentment
At the hopeless situation.
Hope afraid of the rejection!

And so time passes on and on.
Fondness gives way to weariness.
The love bud that never blossomed
Dries up before it could open.
