Lilly The Dog

Lilly is a lovely name for a dog. Many people think so, especially for the dog in this story. Her name was more common than she was; for she wasn't a normal everyday dog that barks and digs. No, she was well known in all parts of the world. Because, you see, Lilly could talk. No one knew how or why; no one knew who her parents were, or who her owners were, or even where she lived. Many people have tried to follow her, but she is very clever,fast, and knows all the alleys, streets, bike paths. So even though many people have tried to take her for their own, they could never quite track her down. Oh on rare days she will make a new friend and play fetch every now and then, but often times she is no where to be found. There is a vet in town name Vince who takes care of Lilly's sniffles and coughs, and some times keeps her for a day or two, but no one knows this. She must be careful who she befriends and who knows which paths she prefers. because the pound has a truck patrolling all around that picks up stray hounds. Lilly is so careful with the words that she says, no one even knows if she has an owner to defend. To be continued
