A poem about the day my youngest daughter was born.

made by a fantasitc person and artist

On the day you were born
the sky wept at your beauty
The sun smiled down
on the cold wet earth
and for one slight moment
the rainbow
from which you descended
was clear to the universe

On the day you were born
the angels gave up
one of their very best
so that we may share
in the glory and innocence
that was you

On the day you were born
I looked into the eyes of God
and realized my worth
I reveled in the glow
that was your smile
and smelled the scent
of the heavens on your skin

On the day you were born
the human race was gifted
with new found hope and promise;
For in your tiny clenched fist
you held the key to the world
and the key to this mother's heart
