Secret Eclipse

Bullet holes in your chest,
A peaceful smile on your lips,
I hold you in my arms.
The sun dissappears in a secret eclipse.

I feel your hand in mine,
And I look into your eyes.
You gaze back at me.
You slowly float into serenity.

You take another breath;
You speak soundless words.
You open your mouth and
Surprise me once again.
You tell me,

"I love you; I wish
That we could be together.
I never had courage,
But this is better.

You are the only one for me,
And I know that I never once
Crept into your dreams."

Then you close your eyes.
Your soul leaves this place,
And travels into the land beyond
It's already so very far away.

I cry my heart out.
My eyes fall to the ground.
I pick up your knife:
I place it to my breast.
I scream out to the heavens,

"I love you,
And I need you.
Who cares what they say!
I want to be with you!

I've always loved you.
I thought you hated me.
There is only one way!"

I hear your voice in my ear.
I feel your breath on my shoulder.
I cannot see you ,
But I realize you are here.
and you tell me,

"I'm your guardian angel.
They sent me to restrain you.
I have waited so long to hear
You say those words.

I wish I could go back in time.
Maybe we could have been together.
Please put the knife down.
I'll wait for you on the other side!"

And then he appeared.
He was right by my side.
A gift from above,
He was sent down to be a guide.

Time grew shorter,
But the day stretched longer.
I could remember his words.
Then he bent down and placed his sweet lips on mine!
We chanted together,

"I love you; I always have.
Nothing can keep us apart.
For, even if we are separated through life,
We are bound by our hearts."

We pull away. He fades into the mist.
I hear his voice calling from the abyss,
"I love you, Don't ever forget.
I will be with you. Even though I don't live in this life."

Then I felt his kiss one last time.
