Thinking of You

Broken promises, unfulfilled dreams,

explanations unexplained, and things seem to stay the same.

Forgotten friendships and lost loves,

people wonder why...because.

Too much drinking and too many drugs,

too many words and I feel like scum.

So I'm left to sit and ponder in a lonely state of solitude and fortitude,

with no hopes of surviving and no thoughts of dying just thinking of the things I do.

Aspirations for something better, regrets for something worse,

all this seems rehearsed.

You want an excuse for my actions,

and an answer for my addictions,

but you can't see my predictions with the lies you're speaking

and my shady lines of hesitation, but for now I stay patient,

to this manifestation of self-humiliation.

and I set myself on a journey without a destination.
