Poetry - Touch Me
You touch me, so I guess the game begins
You pull me close and my body obliges, but my mind pulls away
I feel your breath on my neck while your hands roam
This is only about physical need
What do you know of love
What do I
I feel you inside me, our bodies one
We move to the same rhythm, the same beat
I touch you and I feel your warmth
You touch me and feel nothing but the coldness in my heart
We pull apart
We dress without looking at each other
Strangers together just to fulfill a need
This must stop I tell myself, lost in my silent reverie
You break the silence, " Wednesday", you ask
I agree
The door slams behind you
All I am left with is an ache
Wednesday I mumble as I lay me down to sleep
