Poetry - Empty
I feel my heart ache as I hear your key turn in the lock
You enter
I stare in to your eyes
Wordlessly you cross the room
You grab me
I gasp
Lust is all I feel
My knees buckle
You pull me up
You enter hard and swift
I feel you fill me up
I cry out not in pain, but because I feel
You shudder in your release
You hold me and look deep into my eyes
Searching for emotion
You quickly look away when you see none
My body quivers
My eyes fill with unshed tears
I love you, but I can't tell you
I am damaged and can't heal
I need you to look deeper - into my soul, but you can't
You release me and I fall to the floor
I look up at you and I see your pain,
but I can't ease yours if i can't ease mine
You zip your pants and leave without so much as a glance back
I get up from the floor, but I can't leave because I am already gone
Empty
Alone
Hopeless
I know you have gone for good
I am use to being left behind
I lie on the bed praying for sleep
so I can continue to have dreamless dreams
