BearWoman Butterfly sonnet. abccba dd efggfe. increase of a syllable on line 2 5 10 13
The painted lady, in elegance flies
as dawn breaks over the mountainous skyline.
She flies so close as if to give a touch
of that beauty, of which i want so much.
So close it taunts me, perhaps to give a sign?
She is flown by the wind across the skies.

And so with dearest love I let you go
To show the depths of how I love you so.

Note this, my love, how hard it is for me,
To blow from my hands that which I hold dearest.
Think not I make sacrifice so lightly
When I yearn, my dear, to hold you tightly
But this the most in my short life is clearest,
To show you my heart I must set you free.
