Powerful Enemies Mean Powerful Ideas
“You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.” (Winston Churchill) In addition, the more powerful your enemies, the more world transforming the idea you stood for. Everyone has enemies, but not everyone has powerful enemies. The more powerful a person’s enemies the more world shaking, world transforming the individual’s ideas are. Powerful enemies mean you stand for something that will change the fortunes of humanity and of the planet.

His Holiness Christ had powerful enemies even though he did appear to have any power at all he had powerful enemies. The enemies of Christ and his followers were Emperors, Governors and High Priest men who thought they held the fate of nations, and therefore the fate of the world, in their hands. They intuitively knew that, all though Christ did not have the armies behind him that they had, he had the power behind him that would transform individuals and eventually humanity itself.

Christ enemies may not have understood the power he had on his side, but they felt that power and they feared it. They were afraid because they knew the power Christ wielded would change humanity at the grass roots level; they knew it would transform the individual. They realized, even if it was on a subconscious level, that the individual’s transformation meant the transformation of humanity.

Christ enemies rose up against him and they crucified him. They put soldiers at his tomb to make sure no one “stole” the body. What they did not realize was that it was the crucification of Christ on the Cross, which began the process of transformation in both the individual and humanity. They only aided a process they hoped to stop; their act of cruelty assisted the power they feared.

This is the way it is with powerful ideas, which transform the individual and therefore humanity. Nothing can stop the idea or the process the idea engenders, any opposition will only push it along. That is why standing up for a world transforming, a powerful idea, attracts powerful enemies.
