Lost in death

In the dark I search for a light that inst there
moving thru a forest with no scent and no sound
deeper and deeper I disappear in the never ending darkness

far in the distance a small light shines bright but moving further away
a flow of tears wet my face as I run towards the light

smile is all I can do
its so close I can almost reach and grab it
I stretch my arms as far as the can go, only a few steps now

A shot of pain crashes thru me my smile is no more
I was to late...
Its gone..
I was so close it disappeared in front of me there’s nothing now only darkness so deep I cant see my hands trembling in front of my face there’s nothing else to do but be engulfed by this dark forest with no scent and only the sound of my screams
