It's a poem written by me for a school project, let me know what you think. |
Witches Are Not Mean Witches are not mean You just think we are You don't know what it's like to be seen As a monster, you want to run far Away from the witches. Witches are not cruel You just call us that I'm not an insane fool Even though I love my cat Like a sister, who never ditches. Witches are not evil You just tell people that We're not even close to decietful I'm a human, not a rat. Even though my nose sometimes twitches. Witches are not sour You just don't like us You ask us to ignore our powers When really you're just jealous You don't have the powers that we have so you hate witches. Witches do not do what you think we do We live, we love, we laugh and we play, we're not dead You're afraid of us and you know that's true But don't be afraid, come out from under your bed After all, Halloween was invented by witches. Well now that I've said what I needed to say I guess you'll change your mind about me Maybe the truth you will see Maybe you'll think of me some day The day when you realize that witches are not mean and mean are not witches. A/N: Oh, I really hope you like this, it was written for a poetry project last year and I thought I'd post it here. Poetry isn't really something I always write, I'll write a poem or two every once in a while, but I really prefer fanfiction and fictional stories. A little background information about the poem, it was written with one of my teachers in mind. See, I've been criticized for being a Witch ever since I wore a pentacle around my neck and one of my teachers really gave me a hard time about it. When I wrote this poem, I was really upset because he gave my Christian best friend an A for doing absolutely nothing and gave me an F for at least trying to do my work, but that was last year and I'm not in his class anymore anyway, so it doesn't matter. P.S. He never knew about this poem, only my loving and accepting English teacher, who has adopted me as her granddaughter, was allowed to read it and she loved it! |
