Blacks and Whites in the 1930s


What happened in the 1930s that the blacks and whites were so different and always compared? What made it hard for the blacks to live in the United States among everyone else?

The 1930s the whites thought that they were superior to the Blacks. They thought because the Blacks skin color was different they were automatically put at the bottom of all the classes.

In the United States it was hard for them to survive. They were abused physically and verbally.
But mostly they weren’t treated fairly. For example if they wanted to buy an apple that cost $0.65 they would be forced to pay $1.00,

They were always segregated especially in neighborhoods and in schools. They were overcharged when they were shopping, even though if they didn’t have the money. They had to walk to school while the whites took their cars or the school bus.

The blacks felt the hurt from the pains they had to go through everyday. The whites were always discriminating the blacks, not all whites were like this, but most were. Some of them were nice enough and knew that we were all equal, Black or White. In the 1930s life was heartache for the blacks.
