In life, love, and it's latter laments
You come across some certain strangers
That can, with rage, set your mind afire
Or make your heart burn with firey desire
The ones with a wondrous beauty
Uncanny, yet perplexing so
Are the ones who often intrigue me more
Than any I have met before
Uncanny because of the simple fact
That you see it nearly every day,
And perplexing for despite
A seemingly standard sight it is
A semblance of love
Heightens in your heart
Whenever it comes near
And this malicious mirage
Of inward perilous passion
Can lead you on an arduous adventure
Of great romance, or horrid despair
So when meeting a maiden
Of such beguiling beauty
A confounding query arises
Of what one should do
With want of wit
And dearth of daring
And all else abiding within
The only option
That I saw fit
Was to leave it alone
And save romance for another day
