story

I was wandering through a forest, the forest was dark and creepy. The floor was damp and sludgy, there was a crunch, I looked down it was just a twig which I had stepped on, I carried on, the trees were swaying in the breeze - with the slightest bit there was, I was lost, cold and hungry. There were bats - the bats were black with long, pointed wings, they had long white incirsors, the bats were flying from the hollow trees into the dark night. I turned as I heard a rustling of the grass.
‘What was that?’ I wandered.
I got closer, I could see a pair of eyes like blue sapphires. The eyes were shining in the moonlight peering as though they were tiny moons trying to break through the branches of the thin, tall trees.

I turned back to where I was facing and I carried on strolling. As I was amberling, I came to a crossroad, one route led to a dark passageway where it looked like the darkness was swallowing all objects in its path, the other led down yet another dark passageway but I had a bad feeling about that one. So, I decided to go left, I wandered on without looking back. I came to a stony staircase that led up to a building- the building looked like it has been deserted. I climbed a few steps.
BANG!!!
I turned. No one was there, I turned back round shaking so much. I didn’t know if its because I was scared or that I was cold. I carried on looking down to make sure that I was stepping in the right places. But wait, that wasn’t my shadow was it? My shadow was in front of me. My body started to sieze up - it sieze up so much that it hurt, I closed my eyes turned my head getting ready to run, gradually turning my body squinting, I opened my eyes a little, then wider still.

I could feel myself go red, I don’t know if it was embarrassment or just seeing this person in front of me.
“Are you ok?” he asked me.
“Y-yeah, I’m fine. Thanks” I replied
I just couldn’t stop staring at him his eyes were sapphire blue ‘wait his eyes are sapphire blue, the same colour I saw from behind the bushes. Could it be?’
His face was thin and narrow. He wore black skinny jeans, a black tank top and a black leather jacket. He asked me what I was doing here and that I should go back, but I just stood there staring at him. He looked at me for a while then smiled, it was a beautiful smile, I smiled back
“I believe that I haven’t introduced myself,” he said not attempting to stop smiling. “My name’s Erik,” he added.
“My names Sara,” I said in a dazed tone. I was unable to stop myself.
‘He’s a stranger I shouldn’t be talking to him, but I do have a good feeling about him and I think that I could trust him,’
His gaze went up to the building
“Do you want to go inside?” he asked me.
Seeing that I wasn’t going to go back into the forest.
“Yeah” I replied, “ok” I added wanting to sound polite.

We climbed up the steps, gradually we came to the doorway – it was a shadowy, ghostly doorway. We went inside it was cold, and strangely I didn’t feel scared anymore. But I was shivering again and this time it was because that I was cold. Something clamped over my shoulders.
‘Oh on, what was that? Who was that? ERIK!!’ My mind was screaming
“Erik where are you?” I turned round to see what was going on.
“Sorry” he said apologetically “I thought you were cold” he added.
It was only his coat. Silly me. So we walked on. Until we came to a corridor - the corridor was long, narrow, with dirty yellowy/grey walls it had no windows but alot of doors. Erik opened one of the doors on the right nearest to us.
“What is this place?” I asked, I was curious.
“This?” his voice was raspy, it sounded as if his as though his throat was dry. I knew he was hiding something from me, something I couldn’t quite guess.
“This is my home.” He sounded as though he was expecting me to laugh or run away, but I wasn’t going to do either of them
Suddenly………….
CREAK…….CREAK
“ERIK?”
I looked around, this time I felt scared. I wished I didn’t turn. It was a man, he wore a chain, at the end of the chain was a label with 'Matt' written on it.
He also wore black clothing, it looked as if he was a cold-hearted sinful charactor. I took a step closer, i wish i didn't as his face was creepy, and weird. I have never seen anything like it, 'what's happened to his face? Why is he like that.'
He looked from me to Erik and then to me again, he did this several times. He smiled I saw long pointed incisors, ‘it can’t be there’s no such thing.’ I turned to look at Erik, but when I looked he didn’t look like the man I just met. His face was monstrous, he looked, fierce, his mouth was open, he had pointed incisors, I was so scared I backed into a corner.
‘So this is why he told me to go, I wish I took the chance.’
Then as quick as lightning it all happened. Matt pounded towards me, I couldn’t go anywhere as I was already the corner. I was trapped I cowered behind a curtain - the curtain was long, it was just there for no reason at all, there was no window behind it, my eyes burned, then tears came streaming warm and thick.
Erik jumped between me and Matt taking the blows of the fist and the kicks that was supposed to be for me. In the next minute, Matt was on the floor bleeding from head to toe; dead His name tag lay broken on the floor. Erik was from bleeding everywhere, he was weak. Slowly he turned towards me, he looked at me the way he did when we first met. He smiled a weak smile. I couldn’t help it. I ran up to him to hug him, to hold him close; I didn’t care about the blood. I just cared for him.

I felt him fall.
‘Oh on’ I thought trying to think, I bent my neck to the side so that my head was touching my shoulders.
“Here take it” I said. “Take my blood.”
“No!” he shouted “Are you mad?”
“Maybe.” I said as gently as I could.
Then could feel it, his sharp incisors, breaking my fragile skin, then I felt him suck. All I remember was falling into his arms.

The next morning I woke up, I was in bed, curtains closed, so that there was only a little bit of light shining through on to my freshly hoovered floor, 'must have been a dream.' I threw back the covers, I had my bright pink pjs on, letting my feet drop to the floor, I put my pink fluffy bunny slippers on, I strolled to the bathroom to wash. As I looked up into to the mirror, I coudnt see my reflection, 'why cant I see my reflection? Whats going on?' As I raised my tongue to my teeth 'ouch.' I felt two sharp, pointed teeth, there was a coppery taste in my mouth, the teeth felt as sharp as a blade that i had cut my self with, I reached for the moisturising cream, i had nearly a hand full, rugging in onto my neck. I felt two puncture marks which seemed to have scabbed up,
I gasped 'it can't be'
I finally figure it out, I was a vampire, I dropped the tub of moisturising cream onto the floor, realising what I have done, I wiped it up. I was a little bit horrified as I was coming out of the bathroom when.
Knock…. Knock.
I heard mum open the door to her bedroom to get to the door.
“Don’t worry mum I'll get it” I said.

I rushed down the stairs nearly falling on the middle step, opened the door it was Erik.
“Are you ok?” he asked smiling.
“Yes” I replied smiling back
I ran to him my arms clamped round his back, he felt warm and strong, there was a strong smell of deodorant. He brought his arms around by body.
“I love you” he whispered……
