A poem I wrote the day I found out grandma had cancer
If you were told you had one month, thirty days to be exact, to live
What would you do with them?
Here’s what I would do

Day 1: Spend the day fishing

Day 2: Reconcile my past

Day 3: Go skydiving

Day 4: Tell all of my loved ones I love them

Day 5: Donate all but my funeral expenses to charity

Day 6: Make sure I’m an organ donor (I won’t need them)

Day 7: Write my obituary

Day 8: Get my funeral plans in order

Day 9: Calculate my final costs

Day 10: Spend time with all I love

Day 11: Do something I never have before

Day 12: Take a road trip

Day 13: Find that special place in nature

Day 14: Make peace with the Lord

Day 15: Read the good book

Day 16: Read my favorite book

Day 17: Do community service

Day 18: Thank my doctors

Day 19: Thank all of those around me

Day 20:  Beat my favorite video game
Days 21-23: Lock all my doors and spend them with my wife

Days 24-26: Spend them with my family

Days 27-29: Spend them with my friends

Day 30: Call them all to be with me in my passing
