South Darufinia Park November 15th, 2009 The sun was still waiting to set over the Darufinia Park. Layla Manks was waiting just for the moon, which you know as Pluto. The shine of the horizon was bright. It was too bright for the usual Daruf night. She wandered and wandered, farther over the hills. She kept getting closer and closer to something. The light was getting brighter, no doubt that when she got there, she could be blind. “Layla?” asked a soft voice. “Layla?” asked a deep voice. “Layla?” asked another voice. The voices continued. They were deafening in Layla’s ears. They were surrounding her. They filled the air with the screeching sounds. She screamed, but she felt as if nothing was happening. The voices were too loud that her voice was covered up. She was scared for her life. She kept running to the light trying to get away. Soon she was out of the park but the screeching wouldn’t stop. They were following her, chasing her, trying to get something from her. “Layla, where are you going, we aren’t going to hurt you! We just want to see you again. We miss you darling Layla, come back to us!” they bellowed. “What do you want? I don’t know what you want! Just tell me!” Layla screamed out into the distance. Mannie and Bryant’s Palace November 16th, 2009 “Bryant, have you seen Layla lately? I haven’t seen her for a day! She won’t return any of my calls!” Mannie worried. “I’m sure she’s busy, you should be busy to, and not busy worrying about Layla. She has her own royal guard to wonder about her, so that means you don’t worry about her!” Bryant explained. “Besides, you’re much more pleasant when you don’t fret about it.” “Ah, well just for you, sure!” Mannie said. “Well then, maybe we should make some lunch, and then we could go and shop. I need to get groceries and get a pair of shoes.” Bryant rolled his eyes. “Mannie, how about we sit down, and call some friends besides Layla and invite them over. I don’t want you to be so, so, worried!” “Well sorry that my friend is missing. So I’m going to call Aspen and leave OK! We are going to go shopping and I’ll have a good time, and don’t check up on me, I won’t answer my phone! Being around you I just get more angry,” Mannie said. ___________________________________________________________________ Mannie walked into the park looking for Aspen. She told her she would be around the fountain, but no luck there. She might be busy out at the forest, she’d probably be late. She looked around and walked over to the newspaper stand. The headline read, “Layla Manks reported missing!” She grabbed the newspaper. ‘Layla Manks, are Queen of the mind, was reported missing 8 am Monday morning. The Queen was last seen walking through the Darufinia Park, taking her what we call daily stroll. There is no sign of where she could have gone, but this could be another attack of King Eric of the human world. Search parties have been sent out, but no sight of our lovely lady.’ “Mannie!” Aspen yelled. “Oh my gosh Aspen! Did you hear Layla’s missing?” Mannie yelped. “Are you serious?” Aspen yelled. Her face had turned bright red, on top of the silver. “Yeah, they sent out search parties but no luck!” Mannie said. “I have to call Bryant.” She took out her phone and dialed the number. “Bryant.” Bryant answered through the phone, “Yeah Mannie? You sound worried, what’s wrong?” “Bry, Layla was reported missing this morning! They’ve sent out search parties but no one can find her!” Mannie said. Bryant sighed, “How bout I come into town and we’ll go to her palace and look around, she gave us a key a while ago.” “Thanks Bry, bye, I love you,” Mannie sobbed. She hung up the phone. “Aspen, we’re going to look at her place, we have to find her, and we have to find her.” Aspen nodded, “I think I’ll go to, maybe we’ll find something, and I’ll meet you there!” Layla and Mark Manks Palace Novembe 16th, 2009 Mannie and Bryant walked up to the large palace. She walked up the step and knocked on the door. Mark Manks answered the door. “Mark? I thought you were inspecting the Mars blowup?” Bryant asked. “I was, but with Layla disappearing, I had to come home,” Mark said quietly. “Well, we are really sorry Mark, but Mannie was really worried and wanted to look at the house, she gave us a key, and we thought we’d come and look,” Bryant explained. “Just come on in and have some coffee, I know how much you like coffee Bryant,” Mark joked sadly. “Oh, yuck, but oh well,” Bryant said. Mannie laughed a little, even though she was filled with the sadness that always haunted her. At least she’d be comforted. Eric Humantir’s Secret Pluto Base November 17th, 2009 It was dark and cold in the strange place. Layla Manks was sitting in a chair, strapped in. She saw strange figures through her eyes that were blurry. “Layla, we aren’t here to hurt you! Don’t stress your mind, it’ll make it harder to read!” screamed a voice, that Layla knew she remembered. “Who are you?” Layla asked softly. “Layla, I think I should tell you, I last attacked your planet 6 years ago, that must have been long enough for you,” said the strange voice again. “Eric?” Layla asked. “Yes Layla, I bet you haven’t met our newest, Peter, He’s here to possibly drain your mind of any useful information. I think you should get to know him, you’ll probably be killed by him!” Eric yelled. “Eric! You know there coming to get me!” Layla screamed. “Yes, that’s what we want. There will be a war in between Daruf and the almighty Earth! You can’t win Layla, not with Peter and your friend Josh!” Eric yelped. “What means of torture do you want me to use?” Peter asked Eric. “Do what you must to get the information!” “Yes sir,” Peter said humbly. “Have fun Layla, tonight, if you don’t give the information then you will be dead. I hope you said goodbye to Mark,” Eric said. “They will come. I bet you that Eric, and when they do, they’ll kill you. You and your army better be afraid!” Layla screeched. “You must start soon Peter, she’s right, we need her dead before they come,” Eric said. “Yes sir, we will start now,” Peter laughed. “Have them bring her to my office.” Layla could see Peter. He was standing about 5 feet from her. He was mysterious in the dark. His face was covered with a cloth. He was laughing. A very strange laugh of some kind of success. She couldn’t help but deny that she would live through the terrible day. “Layla, I hope your ready. Your 13 or 14 right? Well, I shouldn’t even bother asking considering that you can’t talk!” Peter yelped. He was in fact right. She couldn’t speak or let alone screams of despair. It was all in all confusing. He had taken her own mind powers against her. Was that his plan of torture? To show her the horrors she could do, knowing it would kill her deep in side. He didn’t seem like that kind of human. All human torturers were brutal in their acts. He had definetly planned something way worse. “Yes, you are right. I wouldn’t go that easy. Instead, I heard somethings from the other soldiers about a fact that you can’t swim. I’m sure I would love to see you drink down water for ever! Don’t even think it. I’m going to drown you!” Peter laughed maniaclly. “Have fun! Oh and also, I’m going to let you jump in the water yourself. I’m wearing the cloth to protect my face from the smoke. Before you guess, I’ll tell you. I’m going to set you on fire!” He wasn’t lying. The chair she was sitting in was above a tank of water. A deep tank of water! She was looking for where the burning part came in. Then she felt it. The burning heat was rising up her leg, making her sweat like crazy. Soon the platform she was on started rising with small flames. She climbed on the chair so her feet would not get burnt. Then soon, the plastic legs of the chair started to melt and the chair got closer and closer to the flames. Soon it was gone! The seat of wood, was burning underneath her. She had to jump! “Yes! Jump! Just like I want! I win!” Peter yelled. What Peter didn’t know, could hurt him. He didn’t know, that water can give you control of power. Which is why Christona, the queen of water, is basically invinsible. Also, she can levitate herself out of the water! She jumped in and Peter laughed maniacly. The laugh started to fade as her ears went under the water. She couldn’t hear a word he said, but when she started coming out of the water, she could hear him gasping. Her voice was back also, “I fooled you Peter! Water gives us full control of our powers!” He shook his head in anger, refusing that this was happening. He grabbed for the small device on his pocket, which Layla was pretty sure was used to capture power. “Sorry Pete! You’re a little to late!” she screamed at him. Layla then disappeared into the air. Layla and Mark Manks Palce November 17th, 2009 “Hello!” Layla yelled up the stairs. “Mark? Are you home?” “Layla!” yelled the voice of Mark. He came running down the stairs almost tripping. “Layla! Where have you been, we’ve been worried sick about you!” “You’ll never guess!” Layla yelled. “Eric had his new soldier Peter kidnapp me! Then they tried to torture me, but, I’m alive!” Mark nodded his head, “yes, and another thing, you aren’t ever going to go anywhere without someone else. You also can’t go with Mannie Felia!” “What! Why not?” Layla questioned. “Mannie and Bryant are so human like. If humans took you, you can’t be around anyone like them!” Mark shouted. Layla shook her head. “Mannie’s one of my friends! I doubt she’d hurt me! Or Bryant! Isn’t he one of your own friends?” “This isn’t about me!” Mark explained. “You’re the one who got kidnapped! Not me, obviously!” “Don’t you think you could not yell at me once in a while? I just got back from being kidnapped, and you mad at me!” Layla yelled. Mark frowned. “You know what, I think you need to leave for a while Layla!” “I have to leave! I’m the Queen, you have to leave my palace Mark!” Layla yelled. “You have to be kidding me! I really wish you never came back Layla. I wish you got tortured. I wish that Peter, would’ve killed you. I’d rather have you gone than here,” Mark said. Layla was disgusted. Her own husband, wished she was dead! She thought he could trust him! Blaming Mannie and Bryant for her getting kidnapped. He was horrible in every single way now. The one she loved was possibly the worst person in the universe. Worse than Eric, worse than Peter, and worse than Josh Harming, the human she used to play with in the sand boxes when Earth and Daruf were in peace. That had changed though. He was no longer her husband. She would no longer be Mrs. Layla Manks! “Leave!” Layla screamed. “I hope you become miserable. You need me Layla. More than anyone in the world. Layla Manks, isn’t complete without me!” he yelled in reply. “I’m no longer Layla Manks. I am once again Layla Zideli,” she said. “I wish never to see you again Mark. Forever!” Mimi Jame’s Palace November 17th, 2009 “I’m sure. I could here it from my place,” Mimi said through the phone. “Are you sure? Layla and Mark don’t usually fight. Me and Bryant are the kind that fight, but happily,” Mannie explained. “I’m positive! She even said that she was going to leave!” Mimi shouted. “I guess your right, I saw her this morning in the office, and she wasn’t so happy. She had her serious I hate you look on. Must be hard fighting with someone and working in the same building as them. Well, I’ve got to go. Bryant’s got a game,” Mannie hung up the phone. “Well, I guess I’m all by myself for the day!” Mimi said to herself. She walked through the main hallway entering into the observatory. She looked out of the large window. She saw the sun almost in the middle of the sky. It was almost noon. She walked back down the stairs and put on her jacket. She walked out of the door on her way to the statue garden. Mimi looked over the different sculptures, that she had changed over and over. Then she came across the one of the large flower with the first Jame generation queen. It was her mother, Myrtle. She was just like Mimi. Long black hair, short, and skinny. Then the wind started to blow. She ran back through the gardens passing statue after statue. The wind picked up, almost picking her up. She kept running as fast as she could. The wind was twisting every which direction. When it blew with her, she went faster but it switched. She slowed and sped up with every other gust. She kept running until she had to stop. The gust’s were to strong, and they only stopped her. She clung to one of the large trees nearby. The sky had gotten darker and there was no end to the grey that was in the sky. This had only happened once before. In the year 2007, Eric Humantir and his army had attacked. It was obviously happening again. Daruf Hall November 17th, 2009 “You know how I swore the day Eric came back, I’d put him in a tree?” Aspen asked Christona. “Yeah,” Christona nodded her head. “I meant it!” Aspen yelled. “He’s here, I know it! The skies are grey and the wind won’t stop! I’m positive, that there’s going to be a fire, and I don’t mean in at Margs! “Aspy, your right. We’ve got to go, with are old technology. You go get some help taking them out of storage; I’ll go get Mannie and her troops!” Christona replied. They had to yell because the wind was really loud, even inside of the Hall. “Too late, we and the weapons are already here. The next step, get the rest into the under passages. Aspen, you’re going to have to open the Heart Tree!” Mannie said. Aspen nodded. She ran down the stairs running outside. She had to find a mind powered Darufinian, to send the warning, and get everyone to the forest. Then she saw a girl with purple hair, the color of the mind. She pulled her aside. “You!” Aspen yelled. “Me?” Asked the girl. “Yes, you need to use your powers to send a message out to every Darufinian, to get to the Heart Tree as soon as possible. Oh yeah, you need to teleport me there!” Aspen commanded. She nodded her head. First she had sent out the message, and then she teleported Aspen to the forest. She wasn’t exactly to the heart tree, but she could see it. She sprinted as fast as she could. When she got to the Heart Tree, people were already flooding in. She ignored all the people panicking. She started to find the off leave that had taken months to grow. She finally found it and pulled it off. She told people to shuffle in one by one. In about 30 minutes, all of them were into the tunnels, and she soon followed. Thank goodness she did, because they had just released the first bomb. It had exploded quite near. “Everybody stay calm. It’s Eric, he’s attacking again, but you can’t worry at all! As long as your down here, your safe. The next leaf will take forever to grow, unless they have Plant powered Darufinians on there side!” Aspen explained. Many people gasped. “Not that he does!” Aspen yelled again. People slowly started to calm down. Aspen had gotten 3 people to take care of everyone so she could leave. She soon ran up the tree’s stairs, and opened the secret way. |
