"Will someone stop this oppressive heat." the young congressman bellowed. "Yes. Sir. It is hot." Sarah poured some lemonade. "Thank you Sarah. Your a blessing." he took a long sip and returned to his writing: "goverments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of goverment becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and instute new goverment" "I wish my wife had come with me." the young man looked at Sarah with sadness. Sarah smiled and loosed her dress, letting it drop to the oak floor beside the bed. His gaze ran over her naked black body. "That's it Sarah!" the young man picked up his quill and dipped it. "We hold these truths to be selfevident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" He threw down his quill and britches and ran to Sarah, tossing them both onto the bed. "This is happiness!" he exclaimed. "Yes. Master Jefferson." Sarah replied respectfully. The two lovers intertwined in gay abandonment. "Tomorrow Sarah we will be free from tyranny!" he kissed her. Sarah smiled and worried about their unborn child. "What name do you have for our child?" Sarah asked timidly. Jefferson looked up at the oak ceiling, "James. He will be my house boy." Sarah swallowed hard and gave a toothy smile; "That is a good name." She could not expect more. She was only a slave. He turned and rested his head under her black breasts. + |
