a short story
a short story.

I saw a short girl wearing a short skirt get into a short limousine as I sat on a short park bench wearing dark sunglasses. She sped away quickly down a short road without waving goodby. I don't think she could see me through the tinted windows and she doesn't remember that one time we met.

I got up shortly after that and walked over to a short vending machine where I bought a root beer and thought about walking back to the office. I couldn't spend much money because I'm a little short on cash right now, and I didn't spend much time drinking it because I only have a short lunch break.

When i got back to work, I realized I was wearing a shirt that I wear almost every day. I've always tried to be a good worker, I even have the company's logo that I wear on my sleeve. So people don't have to ask what I do. They know the logo and have seen it on the news. But it's hard to keep doing the same thing all of the time. This routine is wearing me thin.

Sometimes I think about going away with the girl in the limousine. I see her almost every day, so I'm sure we could go away together. Some where far away.

I'm tired of seeing the same thing. My life is full of things. I buy a lot of things at the store that a lot of people say I need. But they don't know I'm about to go away. I'm about to change things. I'm going to go away shortly with the short girl wearing the short skirt and see new things from the back of the short limousine through its tinted windows.

I can't spend much time writing this. Sometimes I look at clocks and watch time pass very quickly. Sometimes I watch my watch and think I only have a short time here. And I think about her. And in a short time, I'll be sitting on a short park bench some where, thinking about how much time I have left. And then she'll arrive and tell me to get in.
