I Tried

I tried to find a poem
to tell you how I feel.
From Keats, Byron, or Shakepeare
Such lovely lines to steal.

I tried to write a song
Composing pretty lines
Many notes flowing as one
The lyrics, simple rhymes

I tried to paint a scene
Bright colors on a page
Dramatic movement and lines
Setting a gorgeous stage

I tried all these and still I found
My feelings were not expressed
No words of poets, or stroke of brush
Can describe how I am blessed

For you, my love, hold my heart
No distance can keep us away
I am now and always yours
I love you, thats all I can say.
