a girl that have no friends and never got noticed, being saved by the popluar boy in school |
“Time After Time” A mix of good mornings or even simple greetings like hey or hi flows around cheerfully. The school, Charles Middle School is mostly cheerful this morning. The students are either outside playing till the bell ring or in class talking to their friends. No one seems to notice a girl with long black hair, dressed neatly in uniform walked into the room. No one ever send a hey or good morning towards the dark haired girl and in return she remain silent as a mouse. There was no sound left on her at all as she went to her usual desk in the back. Her aura was very depressing and dark and every time she did tried to talk; she will only stumble over her words. “Good Morning, James.” “Hi” ”Good morning.” was exchanged when the most popular boy in school entered the room. He smiled sluggishly and reply kindly, “Good morning everyone” His smiles send a lot of people into fits of smiles and, the dark hair girl turned her head sharply away. He walked openly and then took a seat beside of the dark hair girl, desk. He rested his bag at the heel of his desk leg. “Good morning, Ashley.” He spoke and the dark hair girl flinched in shock. ‘Is he talking to me?’ A blush appeared on her cheeks, remembering all those times she wished and hoped that someone anyone would be her friend. “G-Good morning, J-James.” Ashley stumbled and embarrassed. She didn’t look at him at all. “Hello! James!” A girl with a preppy attitude said, sitting on top of Ashley. In a next second she jumped off scared. “Hailey! Say something if you are sitting here!” She screeched. ‘My name is not Hailey.’ Is all Ashley wanted to say at this moment. “Good morning,” James replied back once more to the prep and her mood brighten. “I’m always alone” X-x-X-x-X-x-X “D-Did you lose your way?” Ashley asked nicely to a little boy after school, just outside a super market. (Ashley walks home). The little boy sobbed shaking his head no trying to wipe his eyes from the tears that keep on flowing down. Ashley put her hand on top of the little boy’s hand. “Shh don’t cry, hold my hand and we could go find your mom. Maybe she’s still in the store.” Ashley said kindly. The boy links his hand onto hers and just then a black car turned the corner in high speed, raging off the road and onto the sidewalk. A police car is now right behind it. Horns beeping loudly, Ashley did the one thing her brain thinks of. She pushed the boy off of the path of the two cars, but no herself. “Aghhh!” the kid scream, falling onto the ground ten feet away. Ashley closes her eyes letting the fear rise over her being. Then suddenly a pair of strong arms encircled around her stomach and the stranger then jumps out of the car’s path in a split second, just missing the two cars. Both on the ground now then the stranger rolls onto his back so he will take the damage more than Ashley. Ashley landed right on top of him. “ugh” Ashley opens her eyes staring down at the blue familiar ones. “James!” X-x-X-x-X-x-X “Did you hear? James got into an accident after school yesterday.” “I heard that he saved some girl off the street.” “Wow, he’s a hero!” “I hope he’s alright.” There were two desks that are empty at school the next day. X-x-X-x-X-x-X “I-Is she okay?” James gasps out to a near by nurse at night in his hospital bed. His eyes threaten to go down close any second now due to the medicine that they given him. “Who?” “T-The girl that come with me.” The nurse looked confuse at his question and description. “No one come with you today, now you should get some more rest.” At those words he snapped out of his bed weakly and tired. The cords flew off of him and the life saver went beeping dead. The nurse ran by his side fast trying to push him gently back into bed. “Sir, you must get back to bed. You are unwell.” The nurse tried to reason. “I’m unwell? What about the girl!?” yelled James. The nurse took a few steps backward scared for her own life. “Sir, please calm down.” The hospital doors slammed open fast revealing the doctors that are ordered for his care. In a flash of pure blond everything went blur. X-x-X-x-X-x-X Ashley cried. Her whole body hurts even worse than her feelings of guilt. She didn’t even went to school today for the second time. She swings softly in one of the swings on the swing set in the park. It’s a surprise she still alive. She was all alone. No one cared. None one noticed her at all. ‘Is he alright? It’s my entire fault.’ She cried even more over James. “It must hurt…” A male voice said softly from behind. Ashley turned her head and gasp in shock at the sight. “Being lonely…No one ever noticing you.” “James…” She stared in shock looking at the long blond hair guy with sad blue eyes. His left arm is wrapped in a cast and also his forehead is bandaged. He looked like he’s going to cry…cry for her. “No friends, always alone, can’t talk, feeling like your better off dead.” “J-James, you should be resting.” Ashley didn’t want to listen. James ignores her comment weakly. “That’s why you cry everyday is it?” Its like Ashley mind is made of glass, and begins to breaks at the truth that James spoke. James walks forward to her a bit. “I noticed. I noticed since the first day of middle school all those years ago.” James said, understanding what Ashley been feeling for all this time. Still in the minute of shock, Ashley didn’t know how he came this close to her. He touched her right cheek and wipes away a few of her tears. “Time After Time, I should have done something.” Ashley blinked. “H-How can you feel what I feel? Y-You’re popular. Everyone l-loves you.” Whispered Ashley through one of her sobs and through her tears. “And everyone hates me” There was a few moments of silence till James spoke once more. “That’s not true…I like you and I’m a somebody. Now smile a beautiful girl like you shouldn’t be the one crying.” Ashley begins to cry deeper than she was before in the swing. “B-But I cause you pain-“ “Please stop denying, because now you don’t have to be alone anymore.” He said with a smile that really do lift Ashley’s mood up.
