It Was About You

It’s About...

The sun comes up, the rain comes down,
Love’s a smile and sometimes a frown,
And without doubt, it’s plain to see,
It’s about you and it’s about me!

It’s about you. It’s about me!
It’s about the bird and of course the bee!
Beginning and ending, rightly and true,
It’s about me and it’s about you!

Spring will come and winter will go,
No more nights of falling snow,
But days of shining sun and skies of blue,
Beautiful days and lovelier you!

It’s about you. It’s about me!
It’s about a love that all can see.
But whether old or whether new,
My heart tells me...it’s about you!

Summer is gone and autumn is here,
Lot’s of happiness but seldom a tear,
No complaints, no cause to be blue,
You lived for me and I lived for you.

It was about you. It was about me.
And what we had was happy and free.
But I must insist, because it’s true,
Some about me...but mostly about you!
