We do not need an army of thieves and murderers who steal at night and shoot in civilian demonstrations.” Jean Philippe agreed totally with Ishmael. However, the agronomist changed the subject and said: “In order for Haiti to succeed, the Haitian people have to stay away from voodoo, which is a satanic religion.” Upon hearing that remark, jean Philippe became angry and said: “no one can remove voodoo from the heart of the Haitian people.
