Seasonal poem. Yes "blew skys" was intentional. "Blew" = wind; "skys" is > than "skies."
New England Lullaby

a poem by K.L. Stover

child of the morning
awake - for the dawning is here
open your eyes to the
blew skys above you so clear.

the winds on the windowpane
whistle their serenade sweet
frost on the frozen field
shines like a shield at your feet.

snowcastles glitter like glass
and the sun has arrived
the seabirds in splendor
surrender their shells to the tide.

blueberry bastions and pastures
sleep soundless and deep
wearing their winter wool
waiting for sweet summer heat.

child of New England
this day you will sing and be glad
for beauty abundant
shall show you the grace that God has.

landlocked lakes crackle and creak
making music unscored
the white-tailed doe wary
unscared as she feeds at the ford.

the gypsy bluejays ever jealous
will raid what they can
gray squirrels and chickadees
challenged for seeds on the fen.

the huge hungry hawks
and the fiery red fox
seek command
but the snowshoe hare daring
is lost in the lay of the land.

mountains like marble and
maritime marvels galore
pinetree pavilions and
maples - a million or more.

child of the new day
the Christmasland cabaret calls
you’ll be red-cheeked and ready
for bed when the Maine moonlight falls.
