my friend the polar bear

  As the ice shattered below me i ran frigdley across what i had thought up to be

land, but had actually turned out to be ice over the vast pacific ocean. ive been

traveling for three days now trying to find my way back home, though all ive

been able to see is miles and miles of ice and a mountain rige in the far distance.

i waas only going on a short hike when an ice storm started to brew and i ended

up snowed into a rather small cave. i was very frightened but i had grown up strong

and i have hiked before in a storm but never alone. always with my father or my

older brother john.
