Prints In The snow --Chapter 1--

May was a large she-wolf with huge jaws. She made a living hunting rabbits and anything that got in her way. One time, may saw prints in the snow. She followed the scent. "Blood. And a rabbit. It's mine!" May growled, chasing after the scent, leaving her prints in the snow. Then, the snow was red and full of blood. She could make out a monster, with huge claws. Her eyes were splattered with blood. She shook the drops off to find the monster dead, and another wolf on top of it. The wolf was muddy, and a dead rabbit lay next to him and the dead monster. "You... saved my life." May said, shaking. "No problem. I'm Silverwind. Nice to meetcha!" the wolf said. "And I'm May." May shyly said. "I- I didn't know that you lived in my forest." Silverwind stuttered. "You look young. Were's your mother?" Silverwind added. May started to sob. "Father killed her and threw me out of the pack. I wandered off and thought this would be a good place to stay." May sobbed out. "Wait... Umm... May! Don't cry! I..." Silverwind said,"will take care of you." he finished. A tear ran down his cheek. 'What a sad beginning...' Silverwind thought. May looked up and ran off, she headed into a cave and motioned him to follow her. Inside, there was a pile of rabbits, and tons of other foods she had killed. There was also a long sheet of moss, grass and sticks. May curled up there and fell asleep.
