Episode 7:Sukia vs. Kenta:My Brother's Keeper...Can Sukia Survive Her Brother's Assault?
Marked For Death: The Bloody Siren Chronicles

Episode 7-Sukia vs. Kenta: My Brother’s Keeper

Sukia never ran so fast after a target that seemed to get further from her with each step. Sukia had forgotten about Shirou, who could not keep up with her speed. Sukia had forgotten about the bounty on her head. Sukia had forgotten about the King who wanted her dead more than anything. All Sukia could think of was saving her older brother, who was trapped in the psychic grasp of a vampire with more power than she had. Everytime Sukia looked in the air, the possessed Kenta seemed to be looking at her with a evil grin. A grin unlike anything Kenta would ever give her if he was in his right mind. Sukia’s long slender legs were a blur, kicking her skirt high up with each long stride, but moving her too fast for any peeping toms to profit off of.

Finally the pursuit led the younger Durahn to an abandoned shrine to the Light Deity. Vines seemed to embrace the rotten wood doors; the pews on the inside were all broken and water damaged, and in the middle of the aisle, her brother stood in the middle, motionless, head held down.

“Kenta?”

“I’m afraid he won’t be answering my love.” A voice said.

The Vampire Vincent DeMourgio walked out. His skin was pale, and his hair was long but slicked back. He was dressed in robes similar to a nobleman of the Eastern country, a dark robe wrapped around his body, with a white towel-like cloth draped over his neck and shoulder, with pants that seemed to have never been worn before.

“Vincent, you have a lot of nerve showing your face!!!” Sukia snarled, pulling out her long knives, crackling with electric energy, “You die tonight!!!”

Sukia lunged at Vincent, who easily dodged her attack with such speed, it seemed as if he teleported away from the malicious edges of Sukia’s knives.

“Be careful, my love. I could very easily make your brother cut his head off with his own weapon.”

Sukia stopped in her pursuits, knowing all too well how easy it would be.

“I have to admit, my love, your brother is not the easiest person to control, and I have been at this before there was even a such thing as the Southern, Eastern, and Western Kingdoms. He truly is a strong willed young man.”

“Kenta’s a lot of things. He’s stupid, ignorant, egotistical, chauvinistic, and annoying, but he’s not weak minded. What do you want?”

“I want what I told you I wanted since day one. I want your hand in marriage, so we can rule over the world. “

“No thank you, now give me my brother back.”

“Why not? We have enough power to turn the world on its side!”

“Because I don’t want to rule over the world. I’m happy drinking what I want, fucking who I want, and helping my brother become the strongest demonslayer in the world. If you want the world, then do bad by yourself!!” Sukia snapped, her eyes locked onto Vincent with murderous intent.

“Do you really feel that way?”

“How many times do I need to tell you, you stalker! I’m not trying to marry you, I’m trying not to kill you!!!”

Vincent was taken aback by Sukia’s last statement as well as the look on her eyes. Sukia’s eyes were flashing over his body, looking for a weakness. It was clear that Sukia wanted no parts of Vincent’s dream.

The vampire twisted his face up and replied, “I see…so be it. Well, since you choose to be such a way, I’ll consider you another enemy. I think I’ll sit here and watch you and your brother kill each other…that is until you come to me and beg for forgiveness. Kenta’s eyes began glowing brighter

“Axe of the Storms….Artic Crush!!!!!!!!” Kenta yelled as he pointed the Axe of the Storms at his sister. An icy blue wave of energy came rushing out of the tip of the axe in The Bloody Siren’s direction.

Sukia ran to the side to avoid the beam, which on contact froze the wall behind her. Kenta followed Sukia with the wave of ice for a brief moment, before running after her himself, channeling lightning into the edge of his axe.

“KENTA! SNAP OUT OF IT!!!!!! YOU’RE BEING CONTROLLED BY THAT CREEP!!!!” Sukia yelled, but her shouts were fruitless as her brother swung at her with the axe, forcing her to backflip to avoid Kenta’s heavy blade. Kenta went with the swing and spun around until he was facing her again. He pointed the axe at her and produced a strong wave of high-pressured water to smash into Sukia’s body. The stream of water threw the Vampiress against the wall, and caused her to be shocked by the lightning she was storing in her own weapons.

Sukia looked up at the man walking towards her. It was the same heavy armor wearing body as her older brother. The same wild hair as her older brother. Everything was the same except Kenta’s eyes, which were not his own. They glowed scarlet with the malevolence of Vincent.

“Come on now, my love.” Vincent chided from a chair in the front of the shrine, “You know you’re at least 10 times stronger than your brother without being in blood lust. I take it you’re not going to go into blood lust mode against him, but still, you’re holding back!!!”

"Damn, he’s got a point." Sukia thought,"If I fight back too hard, I’ll fuck around and kill Kenta…but if I don’t fight back harder, Kenta’s gonna fuck around and kill me! If I can make it to Vincent and break his control, maybe I can free him!!!"

Sukia ran towards her sire, throwing her throwing knives in the direction of the older vampire. The knives appeared to nearly reach Vincent when suddenly they diverted and went in the direction of Kenta’s axe. All of the nearly two dozen knives The Bloody Siren threw seemed to magnetically attach themselves to the Axe of the Storm.

Vincent’s voice then came from Kenta’s mouth, “What’s wrong, baby sister? Did you forget that lightning can create a magnetic affect if used right? I know how much you love your knives, so here, have them back.”

Kenta pointed the axe at Sukia, and then launched all of her knives back at her, as if the polarity of the axe had suddenly changed. The knives all pierced the siren in random places on her body, causing her to scream in pain, and drop to the floor. At the sound of his sister’s scream, the red glow disappeared from Kenta’s eyes.

Kenta had no idea what was going on, but the sight of his sister with several knives stuck in her body was a clear indicator that something is wrong.

“Sukia are you alright?” Kenta yelled

The weakened Sukia looked up at the change in Kenta’s eyes. Kenta was back to normal…but for how long? She pointed at Vincent, and Kenta quickly turned around to face the enemy.

“You’ve overcome my mind control? How can you? You’re a mere mortal.” Vincent yelled, sincerely surprised at Kenta’s ability to break free of the mind control, “Your sister’s scream must have given you a temporary shock to the system. No matter, time for you to return to my control!”

Vincent eyes glowed bright in an attempt to reclaim control over Kenta’s mind, but in vain. Kenta glared at Vincent with a look of sincere hatred.

“So I did that to my sister? You forced me to fight her!!!!!” Kenta yelled, his eyes gaining an evil look of their own, changing from their normal green color to a fiery orange color.

“It can’t be….You’re a….Berserker???” Vincent said in shock at the change in Kenta’s eyes, “This explains why I can’t regain control of your mind….you don’t even have control of your mind! No matter, you’ll fall victim of Vincent DeMourgio…The Greatest Vampire who ever lived!!!!”

Next Episode: The Berserker’s Rage: Kenta vs. Vincent: Kenta, in his newfound and uncontrollable Berserker State, Launches a Ferocious Assault against Vincent, who decides to play a trump card of his own.
