If I was captured, if the walls fell..
Being with you is such sweet pain,
Feeling my heart beat once again,
Inch by inch letting down my guard,
How is it that love can be so hard?

I'd hidden my heart behind walls of stone,
Hardened to the thought of being alone,
You caught me utterly by surprise,
Now I'm drowning in a pair of mischevious eyes.

You smile and the darkness melts away,
My rebel heart screams not to obey,
You shatter all thought with a single kiss,
There are no words there is only bliss.

The hands of the clock become a blur,
To the demands of the world we must defer,
I am left cold and wanting, hardly sated,
Bereft and lonely, strangely deflated.

Never in life have i been so well trapped,
Strength and willpower completely tapped,
I find myself lost in uncharted lands,
Held breathless and shaking by your demands.

So here I stand in a place unknown,
No longer content to be on my own,
Smothered in feelings I used to ignore,
For once in my life completely unsure.

I live in terror of being cast aside,
Tossed into a blackness that I cannot abide,
You opened my eyes and showed me the sun,
Thoroughly blind to what you'd begun.

You have no idea of what you have done,
How totally and utterly you have won,
I can never go back to being numb,
What choice do I have but to succumb?

Do I flee from you and destroy my heart?
Risk staying and have you rip it apart?
All I know is your touch is a brand on my soul,
That against all odds love has swallowed me whole.

I stand before you stripped of defences,
No masks, no guile, and no pretenses,
My heart belongs to you alone,
My soul, my body, yours to own.
