a high so celestial
stars are within grasp
yet for moments so special
our hands cannot clasp

on to a moment
so perfect and pure
beyond all the torment
lies hope for a cure

but continue a soldier
in a moment of truth
for nights grow colder
marching from youth

as whispering shadows
scream of moments once past
history is upon gallows
where bliss cannot last

laughter cries in echoes
as voices slowly fade
beyond the bright shadows
where moments once played

warmth is now lost
just bodies we have touched
a lovely moment's cost
of emotions and such

embracing your heart
may tear you it seems
break you apart
from moments in dreams

for happiness is never
just a state of mind
rather, forever,
just moments we are blind
