Can you hear the laughter in the darkness
That fills this evil room?
Can you hear the whispers of the creatures
Who wait to bring your doom?

Do you feel the squirming of the darkness
That wriggles through your form?
Digging through your soft and tender flesh now
Like some malicious worm.

Can you see the colors of the darkness
The shades of living black?
Brilliant shades of nothingness surround you
Preparing to attack.

Mortal men cannot escape the darkness.
They can't themselves defend.
Mortal men cannot escape the darkness
That greets them at the end.
