An Easter Poem

It needs a little work and perhaps a little more development.  Its tone can be attributed to my personal experience, but things are beginning to look a little brighter :)  I thank God for His gift of hope--I can't help but think that there are many in this world who don't even have that.



With a kiss betrayed
An innocent to death condemned
Bleeding and dying prayed
Father, please forgive them

Injustice condoned
Hungry mouths not fed
The forsaken and alone
Ignored--spiritually dead

We know what we do.
We know.
